We want to help create safe, sustainable and thriving communities by building new homes where they are needed most.
What we offer
Our Development Programme
We have delivered over 150 new, affordable homes since 2012. We work predominantly in the Braintree, Babergh, Uttlesford, Maldon, Chelmsford and Colchester districts by building on our own land and working in partnership with other house-builders.
We are proud that we are able to continue our Development Programme by undertaking regeneration projects on land that we own to support our growing population in and around our district. We work with developers on large-scale sites where there is an affordable housing allocation (known as section 106 opportunities).
Our tenure and property types
We provide a range of tenures and property types to meet the local need. Tenures include social rent, affordable rent and properties for sale, such as Shared Ownership. Property types include houses, flats and bungalows.
We are passionate about contributing to the communities that we work in and we run successful road-naming competitions with local schools near to our developments. Winning road names so far include Church View Close in Halstead, named by a pupil from Richard De Clare Primary School, and The Spinney in Witham, named by a pupil from Elm Hall Primary school. We also run site safety talks to teach students how to stay safe near building sites.
We are always looking for more land and section 106 opportunities to extend our housing stock; please contact us if you have an opportunity we may be interested in. Use the details listed in the ‘Greenfields contacts’ box on the right to get in touch.

What is a Community Gateway Association?
We give our residents the chance to be actively involved with Greenfields and have a say on how things are done. We provide additional opportunities and resources to our residents, beyond the development and maintenance of their homes. Click the button below to learn more.
