Our Executive Management Team is responsible for ensuring that the strategic priorities of our Board are delivered.
Turning the plan into reality
This means fulfilling all of our commitments in our From Good to Great Plan 2015-2020 and making sure that our staff, partners, residents, members of our communities and others understand what we do and why we do it.
Phil has been Chief Executive of Greenfields Community Housing from day one. He helped to establish Greenfields as a Community Gateway Association, to give residents a real say in the decisions made that affect them. He also ensured that all of the promises made to residents at the time of transfer in 2007 were kept, and worked with residents, staff and Board members to put together our From Good to Great Plan 2015-2020.
Phil said “Working in partnership with our residents, we believe the next five years will present plenty of opportunities to get better at what we do. We are dedicated to being more than just a landlord and I am enjoying working with staff, Board members, residents and partners who are helping us on our journey from ‘Good to Great’.”
Phil has over 30 years of housing experience. He began his career as a ‘rent man’ with Leeds City Council, before moving on to work with other local authorities. He joined Greenfields from Colchester Borough Homes, where he was also their first Chief Executive. When Phil isn’t at work, he enjoys watching football and playing golf.
Finance and Resources Director
David has responsibility for the majority of the internal ‘engine’ of Greenfields, ensuring that the funding, the people and the systems are all in place to meet the demands of the business and the expectations of our customers. He is also the Company Secretary.
He has previous experience of housing as the Director of Finance for The Havebury Housing Partnership. David has also enjoyed a spell working in New Zealand during his time with the accounting firm, KPMG.
“We have been successful in achieving the transfer promises made to our tenants and leaseholders and our progress is shown by our STAR survey satisfaction feedback, our performance and our external accolades, including being an Investors in People Champion. I am excited to be working with an excellent group of people in our Greenfields family and look forward to achieving our commitments in our Strategic Plan.”
Sandra has worked at Greenfields from the start and joined as the Housing Director just before the transfer in 2007. She has worked in housing for over 25 years, beginning on the front line as a housing officer.
Sandra’s team includes Neighbourhood Management, Support & Wellbeing (including tenant empowerment & Community Gateway) and Customer Excellence (which includes Customer Service, Customer Feedback and Communications).
She said: “We have achieved some great things since 2007. I am looking forward to the next stage on our journey from ‘Good to Great’, working with our residents, colleagues and the Board.”
