We couldn’t be more proud of staff member, James Taylor, for being named the NHS Mid Essex CCG‘s first Community Ambassador.

He received the award for helping others to live well through leading our Chair-based Exercise (CBE) Programme, which consists of prescribed, adaptable exercises led by qualified CBE Leaders. It is particularly beneficial to frail people with chronic conditions, such as arthritis, diabetes, dementia, COPD and osteoporosis; as well those with mobility issues and mental health concerns. The programme is available free-of-charge to anyone aged over 18 years-old at selected venues.

James says: “The programme is particularly beneficial for some as not only does it provide much-needed exercise for mobility and strength but there are several great outcomes. These include needing less medical treatment, reducing falls and helping with every day activites, such as reaching for an item on a high shelf or opening jars.”
