Greenfields Community Housing joined forces with partners to ask residents in Braintree what action they want taken in their neighbourhoods.
Essex Police, Braintree District Council and Open Road attended two consultation events in Progress Court and Peel Crescent.
They spoke to local residents to see what changes they would like to see, which included action to address anti-social behaviour.
Greenfields also inspected both areas to check they were free from litter and fly-tips.
Stephen Pettit, estate co-ordinator at Greenfields, said: “We were aware that some residents felt improvements were needed and we wanted to hear their views in person.
“Thank you to all of our partners for joining forces with us and the residents who spoke to us; we’re now considering future drop-in sessions as they’re so useful.”
Greenfields is planning to clean up the communal areas in Progress Court later this year, with brick planters being replaced with an external bin store.
