We have garages, parking spaces and licences for garage plots available for rent throughout the District, regardless of whether you are a Greenfields tenant.

Our garages

Greenfields has around 2,800 garages which we let to our tenants, leaseholders and private residents.

Our garages are spread across Braintree District and tend to be in the main town areas, although we do have some in villages.

How to rent

Our tenants and leaseholders are given priority for garages, and can rent them for £9.75 per week. Private tenants or anyone renting more than two garages pay VAT, so the weekly amount is £11.70. You will be required to pay four weeks’ rent in advance when you sign up for the garage.

All of our garages are rented for the purpose of storing vehicles only. They should not be used for business purposes.

To register your interest in one of our garages please fill in the form below. You will then be contacted by a member of the Neighbourhood and Lettings Team with garages available in your selected areas.

By providing the information above, you consent to Greenfields Community Housing processing your data to check your eligibility to become a “Garage tenancy holder”. The information you provide will be held on a “Waiting list” within our Housing Management and Document Management system and will continue to be held once your application has been successful. You are able to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting Greenfields’ Neighbourhood Support Manager. However, please note that we are required to retain the information regarding your application for 6 years after receipt of the “Garage” application, as per our Data Retention Schedule.
