Christmas may be over but the festivities are not behind us!
Around 400 Greenfields residents and their families attended free pantomimes funded by our three Greenfields Residents Groups.
Children cheered, jeered and whooped as Treasure Island was performed by Chaplins Pantos at the Public Hall in Witham, Empire Theatre in Halstead, and Braintree Arts Theatre.
The events were funded by our Mid, North and South Greenfields Residents Groups, who are given annual budgets to improve their communities. Residents donated generously to Farleigh Hospice, our Charity of the Year.
David White, Neighbourhood Manager at Greenfields, said: “Our Greenfields Residents Groups decided that they wanted to celebrate Christmas by giving our residents the opportunity to have a fun outing with their family and friends. We know that many cannot afford to take their families along to a panto, so the groups were thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity.
“We’ve had really good feedback and thank the fantastic performers and venues for their help in making this happen. We hope to do something similar during the next festive season.”
