Greenfields Community Housing is hosting a free workshop to give local aspiring entrepreneurs help and advice in starting their own business.
The fun, friendly and interactive session will take place on 3 December at Greenfields House, Braintree.
Organised by Clarion Housing, the event is designed for local people to discuss their business ideas and what to consider when starting their own business or going self-employed.
The session, open to anyone in the Braintree District and all Greenfields residents, includes advice around advertising, skills, experience, regulatory requirements and more. There’s also the opportunity for participants to pitch their business idea to the others.
They can then arrange a 1-2-1 session with the Clarion Futures Team if they would like help to kickstart their new careers and receive ongoing support.
Emma Faulkner, Greenfields’ Financial Inclusion Co-ordinator, said: “We want to help people in our communities to be financially independent and create careers from their passions. This workshop will help to nurture their ideas, give them the opportunity to meet like-minded people and explore the world of self-employment and see if it’s right for them.”
The workshop is from 10am – 3.30pm. To book your place, contact Emma Faulkner on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01376 535400 by Wednesday 28 November.
