Chef-hats off to our staff members, who raised nearly £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support at our Great Greenfields Bake Off last week!

On Friday, 29 September, Greenfields House’s foyer was filled with delicious delicacies and tasty treats as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

The baking bonanza included a Guess the Height of the Cake game and ‘Rate the Cake’ competition. Customer Services Advisor, Julie Driver, correctly guessed the height of the cake at a whopping 94 cms! And congratulations to Best Bakers, Abaida Baldwin, a Greenfields resident who makes spectacular sausage rolls, and David White, a Neighbourhood Co-ordinator, with his confounding colourful carrot cake.

Nearly £200 was raised, which will go towards Macmillan Cancer Support, our Charity of the Year for 2017.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. Last year alone Macmillan raised £27.5 million.

With supporters including Greenfields, this year the charity hopes to raise even more.
