We’re thrilled to be no 13 in the national Top 50 Landlords list published by 24 Housing Magazine.
The organisations featured were nominated, voted on and judged by other housing associations and industry representatives.
We’re proud of achieving a 93% satisfaction rate amongst residents in 2016. This is helped by our MOT-style approach to carrying out certain repairs; leading to a 31.3% overall reduction in repairs needed.
Last year we secured an additional £65m to build 850 homes for rent, shared ownership and sale by 2020. Building new homes & thriving communities is something that we continue to place great importance upon.
But building and maintaining homes is just one part of what we do; we’re improving lives in other ways, too. Since launching our Domestic Abuse Awareness campaign in 2013, 66 residents have reported domestic abuse; with some having extra security measures fitted in their homes and others being moved to safer environments.
Additionally, in partnership with Essex Police, we carry out annual ‘Think Safe, Be Safe’ workshops, helping hundreds of school pupils to learn about the consequences of crime, and learn how to stay safe on the streets and online. And last year, in partnership with Braintree District Council, we provided over £95,000 to support local voluntary and community organisations.
Phil Adams, Greenfields’ Chief Executive, said: “Our main aim is to improve lives – be it the lives of our residents, staff, or people living in our communities. It’s great that others can see what we’re achieving, and I want to ensure our hard work – in collaboration with residents and other organisations – continues and improves even more.”
