Our very own marvels have been recognised after being shortlisted four times for awards celebrating those who help residents live healthy and happy lives.
Greenfields will be well represented at the Marvels of Mid Awards, run by Mid Essex NHS Clinical Commissioning Group.
Val Thompstone, Digital Inclusion Co-ordinator, and James Taylor, Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinator, have both been shortlisted in the Connect Well category, while the Chair-Based Exercise programme is in the mix for the Age Well category.
Val has been nominated for her work supporting residents to get online and take advantage of the opportunities and services available on the web. James’ work includes the Chair-Based Exercise programme, which offers life-changing benefits to residents and volunteers.
James has already been nominated as one of eight Live Well Community Ambassadors for 2017 for the Chair-Based Exercise programme, and a public vote is underway to choose an overall winner. Visit www.midessexccg.nhs.uk to support him.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the Mid Essex CCG Annual General Meeting on 28 September 2017 at Chelmsford City Football Club.
