Rubbish amnesty at Templars

Thank you to everyone on Witham’s Templars estate who came out yesterday to support the relaunch of our community office and take part in our Free Rubbish Amnesty Day.

Please remember that this amnesty is now over, so any rubbish left out from today will be regarded as fly-tipping. The amnesty was hugely popular, and the four skips and three vans we supplied yesterday were filled to the brim.

We are now working with Braintree District Council and Partners in Grime to collect the remaining rubbish left on the estate. Council officers will today begin collecting rubbish left on streets and footpaths, while Partners in Grime will tomorrow pick up anything left on alleyways before supporting the council with any remaining waste left on the streets.  You may see skips in Hemingway Road and Munro Road tomorrow – these are solely for the use of Partners in Grime.
