We offer a Supported Garden Maintenance Service, to help residents who are unable to manage their gardens and who don’t have friends or relatives who can assist.
Helping you with the garden
We provide the free service, which includes one hedge cut, all year round.
Our team will cut the grass and strim the edges of the garden. Supported Garden Maintenance visits are on an ad-hoc, appointment basis and must be at least six weeks apart. To book an appointment, please contact our Customer Service Centre.
Hedge cutting is completed during the winter once the grass cutting has stopped and all hedge cuttings will be removed from your garden.
Anyone wishing to apply for the service will require a full assessment. The service is available to residents of any age who:
- Have a condition limiting their ability to maintain their garden. Evidence, such as a doctor’s note or benefit payment, must be provided at the assessment
- Have no support (i.e. family, friends) who would be able to maintain the garden on their behalf
- Don’t have the means to pay for a gardener.

Work not included in the service are:
- Removing grass cuttings
- Digging borders
- Tree trimming
- Shrub maintenance
