With more than a decade of community involvement and engagement behind us, Greenfields are very pleased to be “early adopters” of the National Housing Federation’s Together with Tenants plan.
The Government’s Social Housing Green Paper has called for tenants to have more rights and a greater say in how housing associations are run.
The National Housing Federation has proposed a four-point plan for change, including a new charter setting out what residents can expect from their landlord.
This draft is currently being consulted on, with housing association staff and residents among those asked to submit their views.
Volunteers are also being sought to join an independent Tenant Advisory Panel which will support and challenge the Together With Tenants plan.
Applicants do not need previous experience of tenant involvement – just a curious mind, a passion to improve things and a willingness to work well with others.
The panel will meet four times a year in London, and expenses and other reimbursements will be paid. To apply, visit: https://www.cfps.org.uk/tenantadvisory
To read the report or have your say, visit here by Friday, 19 April: www.housing.org.uk/topics/together-with-tenants/open-consultation-on-our-plan/
