A large proportion of homes built before the year 2000 will contain some form of asbestos-containing material within their construction.
Although the word ‘asbestos’ may cause some people to worry, these materials are usually safe, as long as they are in good condition and not disturbed.
We perform regular asbestos surveys to see where these materials are and ensure that they are in good condition. In order for us to comply with regulations and in line with your Tenancy Agreement, please give us access for any surveys to be completed, so that we can ensure your safety.
If you wish to carry out any work on your home, you must first apply for Landlord’s Consent. This allows us to check the appropriateness of the work and also to check our Asbestos Register to ensure that asbestos-containing materials are not damaged or disturbed during this work.
To learn more about Landlord’s Consent, visit our Home Improvements page by clicking this link: Home Improvements.
