How to buy your own Greenfields home
The schemes available to help you buy a home are called:
- Preserved Right to Buy
- Right to Acquire
As a new homeowner, you would have new responsibilities, such as:
- Monthly mortgage payments
- Building insurance
- Service charges
- Repairs or maintenance not covered by your insurance
- Water rates
- Council Tax and other utility services
- Optional mortgage insurance, so payments would be met if you became ill or unemployed
There would be some other costs to consider:
- Solicitors fees, for the purchase of your home
- Carrying out a survey
